(4-minute read) You’re busy, so here’s the short version: We’re launching a blog built for the people who run warehousing, fulfillment, distribution, and logistics operations. And we promise to keep it practical and helpful—and maybe somewhat entertaining.

Why Are We Launching This Blog?

The Flow Zone is Inviscid Consulting’s new blog for people who want to keep their supply chain operations flowing smoothly.

If you’ve ever wished supply chain blogs were a little more useful (and a little less boring), The Flow Zone is for you.

After helping hundreds of businesses improve their warehousing and logistics operations, we’ve seen the "same ol’, lame ol’" blog stuff over and over. But…

Managers want clear, actionable guidance (not salesy fluff).
Teams want help diagnosing problems (not academic theory).
Executives want practical, cost-effective insights they can scan fast (not long dissertations).
And everyone wants a trusted voice who actually understands their goals and challenges.

That’s why we’re launching The Flow Zone: To share proven ideas and field-tested principles backed by deep industry experience, so you can run your operations better.

Our Mission

At Inviscid Consulting, our mission has always been simple:

We help businesses drive down costs and boost service levels in their warehousing, fulfillment, distribution, and logistics operations.

That’s it.

The Flow Zone is an extension of our mission. It’s a place where you can find straightforward, experience-backed insights that will help your business operate its supply chain more smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.

Plus, let’s be honest: Warehousing isn’t boring, it’s SEXY!

(Okay, maybe that’s a stretch. But it’s definitely important.)

What Makes The Flow Zone Different?

If you read supply chain blogs, you’ve probably noticed a few frustrating themes:

They can be too salesy. WAY too salesy.
They can be too dry and academic and...well, boring.
They can be too long (and yet somehow still say very little).
They recycle the same buzzwords over and over (AI! Robots! Automation! Did I mention AI, robots, and automation?) Blah, blah, blah.

We’re not doing that stuff. Nope, not here.

What You’ll Find Here

Your time is valuable, so we’ll typically publish new posts about twice a month—frequently enough to be useful, but not so often that we add to all the noise.

All our posts will include:

A brief tl;dr summary at the top
Short paragraphs
Bullets
Maybe a helpful visual
Cartoons (yay!) that make you smile—or at least roll your eyes

We don’t take ourselves too seriously. But we do take your supply chain operations VERY seriously.

Inviscid Man is our mascot, our own recurring stick (shtick?) figure, who is always out there, Saving the World, One Warehouse at a Time™.

For example, don’t look here for the stereotypical “Top 10 Supply Chain Trends” fluff you see in those other blogs. That tired stuff is Kryptonite. Not gonna do it.

What We Will Talk About

On The Flow Zone, we'll discuss how you can get better results from your supply chain resources (people, inventory, facilities, equipment, automation, and technology). We’ll cover topics like these:

Facility optimization (space, equipment, material flow, etc.)
Technology and automation (WMS, TMS, LMS, AMRs, ASRS, other assorted acronyms, etc.)
Operational excellence (capacity, labor, processes, risk, etc.)

Our insights come from decades of experience working on hundreds of consulting engagements and dozens of expert witnesses assignments. And from watching too many superhero shows.

Let’s face it: When we started doing this stuff, we still had hair, and we watched cartoon superheroes on the only three TV channels we had.

Why “The Flow Zone”?

In fluid dynamics <groan>, “inviscid” means having no internal friction or resistance to flow. Supply chain operations should be streamlined flows of goods, data, people, and decisions move with speed and minimal resistance. Just look at Inviscid Consulting's logo.

Isn’t that your ultimate goal? That’s what this blog will help you achieve.

Plus, The Flow Zone just sounds cool.
